Have you looked at a bar of Dial soap lately and felt cheated or ripped off? Recently I purchased two different packages of Dial bar soap in two different scents - Tropical Escape and Aloe Green Tea scent. I was not happy when I opened the packages. The bars are much smaller now. I understand times are tough and companies are cutting back, but it’s an insult to consumers to so blatantly give less product for the same price. We all know it’s being done - that companies are giving us less product for the same amount of money we paid before - but at least most companies aren’t making it as obvious as the makers of Dial soap!
The Tropical Escape scent now has a big scooped out section on side of the bar and the Aloe & Green Tea scent is scooped out on both sides. It appears consumers are now getting 1/2 less the amount of product as before, but being charged the same amount of money - if not more money. Needless to say, I won’t be buying Dial bath soap any longer.
Let’s start a poll. Leave a comment and let me know if you’ve noticed the same thing with other brands of bar soap, or with other products?

Sheyla Hershey has made her “infamous” by being listed is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest breasts in the world. Her huge boobs didn’t come to her naturally though. It took nine breast implant surgeries to reach the record breaking 38kkk size! Sheyla is Brazilian and had to return to Brazil for her latest surgery. American doctors in her home state of Texas refused to give her more plastic surgery to enlarge her breasts any further than their previous 34fff size.
Just how large is too large when it comes to the size of a woman’s knockers? I guess American doctors think 34fff is the limit because of a risk of the implants exploding … but but Brazilian doctors didn’t hesitate to keep going.
Sheyla says she will gladly have more surgery and keep going to get bigger and bigger. She’s also had plastic surgery done on her lips, butt, and nose. I say “to each his own” and hope this woman isn’t putting her health at risk by having all these unnecessary cosmetic surgeries.

By now the whole world has probably heard of Nadya Suleman, the 33-year-old woman who gave birth to octuplets. She already has 6 kids and now has 8 more - for an insane total of 14 kids. I say it’s insane for multiple reasons.
She’s single, unemployed, living with her parents, and her other kids aren’t healthy. Why would she bring 8 more kids into the world when she can’t care for the ones she already has?
I feel sorry for the kids because they are the ones who will suffer because of their mother’s lack of ____ (you fill in the blank). It would be hard for a couple with good steady jobs to care for this many kids and pay the enormous doctor bills, food, diapers, etc etc etc. There is no possible way Nadya Suleman can do it on her own, even with the best of intentions. So guess who will foot the bill folks? Yep - WE WILL! She seriously needs counseling and evaluation for a possible mental condition.
Does this make me angry? Yes. BUT the people who are posting death threats to her make me just as angry. She needs help - mental help - not death threats.

Adoption can be a wonderful solution for an infertile couple who wants to have a child but can’t conceive or become pregnant on their own. It can also be a way for an otherwise homeless child to have a family who will love them and raise them as their own. But not all adoption stories are like the fairy tales they appear to be.
No one seems to consider the long term affects adoption can have on the adoptee. That baby or child who has no choice in the matter. They have no voice during the adoption process, and in most states, have only a few rights to know their biological roots as they grow into adulthood. Even after that child is an adult, the court systems still bar them from knowing their heritage. Some judges will give out non-identifying information but that is insignificant dribble.
If nothing else, an adoptee has a right to know their medical history. Imagine going to the doctor and trying to fill out that section on every questionaire about your family history of illness. Not knowing that information could mean the difference between life and death in some cases. Doesn’t a person who is adopted have a right to know if they have a genetic disposition to certain diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, mental illness, or other such conditions?
I say yes, they do have a right, and think it is inhumane to deny them the information. Are you a birth parent searching for your child? Or an adoptee looking for your birth family? Contact me, maybe I have some tips for you. I am a birthmother who has been reunited with my daughter. We both want to help others who are searching for their biological family. I can’t guarantee we will have the answer, but perhaps our experiences will be of value to you.

This is a plea to all the media outlets - please stop reporting on Patrick Swayze’s battle with pancreatic cancer unless you have solid concrete facts! To publish a story that is not true just for the shock value or just to make a buck is inhumane. Cancer patients are fighting for their lives and a HUGE part of that fight is HOPE. It’s hard enough going through chemo that makes you feel like a train-wreck every day.
So this is a plea, as a cancer survivor myself, I ask that you put your journalistic greed aside and give Patrick a break. Do not print a defeatist story saying he’s stopped his chemotherapy treatment or that he only “x” amount of days to live unless you have checked your facts. Mr. Swayze is in a battle for his life and should not have to spend one minute dispelling rumors about his health. His time is precious and he and his wife Lisa need to hang on to hope. Constantly hearing hopeless news stories about how bad pancreatic cancer is and untruth’s about his condition and/or treatment detracts from that hope.
So I say shame on you! Shame on the reporters, magazines, and newspapers who print untrue stories about him … you obviously care more about shocking headlines and making money than a man’s life.

Our next door neighbor’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a while back and they recently brought him to live with them. The dad was getting too bad off to be left alone and the memory loss and confusion is getting worse. The neighbor’s alerted us that dad would be coming to live with them and asked that we keep an eye out in case he should see him wandering down the street.
Today the dad somehow walked outside and got locked out of the house. It is very cold outside and he did not have on a jacket and only had on a short sleeved shirt. I have no idea how long he had wandered around in the cold but he eventually ended up on my doorstep. He was shivering with cold and very confused.
Luckily I knew who he was and contacted his son. The son left work to come get dad and take him back home. I spent a couple of very eye opening hours with this kind man and got a cold hard look at Alzheimer’s. It was very scary.
I could speculate for hours on how long he was outside in the elements with no coat and short sleeves in the freezing temps … or why the neighbor’s don’t have a way to keep him from getting outside … but for now I’m just relieved that everyone is safe and sound once again.
God bless those who are living with this disease and those who are caregivers and family members having to watch the devastation.
