Denny’s Giving Away Free Grand Slam Breakfast

Are you going to Denny’s for free breakfast on Tuesday, 2/3/09?

If you watched the Super Bowl on 2/1/09 then you probably saw the Denny’s advertisement announcing the free Grand Slam breakfast. There is also a full page ad in today’s edition of USA Today.

According to what I’ve heard and read, everyone who goes to Denny’s from 6am - 2pm on Tuesday - 2/3/09 - will receive 1 free Grand Slam breakfast. Each person will also get a coupon book that has eight coupons in it. The coupons will be (4) buy-one-get-one types, (2) 25% off variety, (1) for a free dessert, and (1) for a free order of pancake puppies.

Rumor has it that each Denny’s in the United States has 1,000 of the coupon books to hand out to patrons who order a free Grand Slam on Tuesday. Each store will supposedly also have 500 rain check coupons good for a free Grand Slam breakfast to give to anyone who comes to Denny’s on Tuesday but doesn’t have time to wait.

Can you imagine how long the lines are going to be? I “might” go and see if I can get a rain check, but will not stand in a long line for a free breakfast. I don’t need the 1000+ calories and don’t have time, patience, or stamina to wait in a line for who knows how long. But this sounds like a good deal for those who like to wait and have the time and patience.

Leave a comment here if you go and give details for how long the lines were, how long the wait was, the service staff, etc.
